The Magellan Group, Ltd is now offering FSC certified hardwood decking and flooring. As members of FSC for many years and suppliers of FSC certified Pine products since 1995 it was only natural that we expanded our offerings to our customers to include FSC certified hardwood products.
For the last 15 years we have been working in various South American countries using our knowledge and expertise to develop reliable and FSC Certified sources for Pine Products; while working equally hard within the US to develop markets and new customers.
We have invested our own capital in partnership with several producers of FSC decking, timbers and flooring to assure you of constant supply of FSC approved products.
The Magellan Group provides you with only FSC Decking and Flooring. Why would a company chose to do this? Well, in a nutshell, it is because we care. Recent independent studies show that nearly 80% of Amazonian hardwoods from Brazil are illegally logged and that the U.S. is the single largest importer of Brazilian hardwoods. Contrary what others may say to you about their sources, unless it is FSC certified you will never be certain of its legal origin.
Furthermore, with the passage and enforcement of the U.S. Lacey Act many suppliers of non-certified tropical woods will either disappear or find themselves and their businesses in untenable positions.
